As noted previously, we have been practicing the Sankakutobi yakusoku kumite in the Hombu Dojo recently.
The hidden “sankakutobi” technique is an important part of Kenkokan karatedo.
Kaiso Masayoshi Kori Hisataka, Kensei 10th dan, put the hidden Sankakutobi technique into five Shorinjiryu Kenkokan Kata including
(1) Kudaka no Ku-san-ku
(2) Kudaka no Chinto
(3) Kudaka no Bassai
(4) Kudaka no Wankan, and
(5) Kudaka no Nijushiho.
Students of Karate clearly understand the meaning of these five Kata by practicing Bunkai Kumite for each Kata and properly performing the Kata.
The purpose of Shorinjiryu Kenkokan Karate is to enable individuals to contribute to society with a strong mind and body.
Practicing the Kata many times is an essential part of the development of mind and body in Karate training.
We hope every student of Karate practices diligently to achieve the above goals.
